Started June 1 1896 Société de Secours aux Blessés Militaires des Armées de Terre et de Mer,  affiliated to the red cross.

Bottée (for the artist Louis-Alexandre Bottée, 1852-1940) More info here

But what is the mark on the reverse?

Looks like a makers mark.

I cannot see where it appears on that reverse.  ???

I have another one with a different mark ::) I think.
From what I've read a diamond and another mark signifies silver, so this is most likely plated.
S E could be Eustache, Sylla?

Looks the same mark to me! I can't see a mark at all in the the linked item.

Sylla Eustache is an interesting character see this link

Found this one on Delcampe signed by Sylla Eustache, was hoping to find a makers mark.  ;D
