Title: Not a Czech token
Post by: Figleaf on July 18, 2010, 01:56:33 PM
On this web site (http://www.psywarrior.com/RadioFreeEurope.html), I found the attached token, described as a 25 heller coin (sic!). Does anyone have it in the collection? Have you ever seen it? It looks extremely interesting to me.

No, I don't have that piece. The coin that they apparently used for making them was this one, a 25 halĂ©řů (de: heller) coin from 1953/54:

Have you ever seen them? Do you know if they were overstruck or stickered (not sure stickers existed in the '50s?)

No, I have never seen any of those. But the piece that you show us here does not "say" sticker to me. Looks as if these pieces were stamped, and thus are overstrikes ...
