Any thoughts as to the origin of this one?

It has the format of a British gaming token, obviously pre-decimalisation.

Speculation: Since bronze is softer than the Cu-Ni often used for gaming tokens I would say it's relatively early. If so, the "I" would be a family name or a British geographical name, rather than "International". One option is that the S is sporting or sports and this token was used for early shooting games. I would venture the C stands for company.
