To commemorate the 180th anniversary of the Penny Black (first stamp), Gibraltar will soon issue a commemorative 50 pence coin.

The coin will be available later today. It will be available in copper-nickel diamond finish, silver proof, silver proof piedfort, gold proof and gold proof piedfort.

The coins have a pearl-black effect and a shaved rim.

It's not a new concept for a collector coin, of course. And there are also 2015 versions from these two territories, I believe (175th anniversary).

And Ascension Island did one for the Tu'penny Blue (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces171146.html).
