Title: Miniature Works 5
Post by: bagerap on September 17, 2019, 02:11:38 PM
Interesting little piece, the denomination of 5 makes me suspect it could be American. Also noy sure if the date is reliable. 13 mm.

They are on the forum somewhere, I think from memory they are German. I'll try to find information tomorrow.

I have these two images on file. 10 and 25

See also Reply #71 (http://www.worldofcoins.eu/forum/index.php/topic,444.msg213021.html#msg213021) where it is said they are from Marcel Beyers in Rue Monfort, Li├Ęge, Belgium. This may be incorrect as I feel it refers to 'miniature works of art' I.E. miniature packets and boxes, etc. - Miniatuur verpakkingen voor 'winkeltje spelen'

Unfortunately the second link appears to lead to a private forum.

See Marvels In Miniature 1936 (https://www.britishpathe.com/video/marvels-in-miniature-1)  Various shots of miniaturist Charles Gunner at work on a tiny picture.

Miniatuur verpakkingen voor 'winkeltje spelen'

Miniature packages for "playing shop".

This probably refers to miniatures of packages of well-known products, not toy coins.
