Title: Kushan, Mauryan references
Post by: jkk on September 16, 2019, 04:46:25 PM
I'm curious whether there are print catalogues for Kushan and Mauryan (punchmark) coins.

It would not shock me if they were forty years out of print and cost one kidney each.

For Maurya PMC -  Punchmarked Coinage of the Indian Subcontinent - T.R. Hardaker P.L. Gupta
For Kushan and other ancients, I use Ancient Indian Coins Revisited - By Pieper
I think both are in print.
Thanks,
Saikat

Thank you, Saikat. This is a branch of the hobby where the necessary references cost as much as a great many of the actual coins!
