I have something similar, which was identified as an Egyptian wedding token http://www.worldofcoins.eu/forum/index.php/topic,38873.msg245831.html#msg245831 with the date below 15/10/1981 being that of the wedding. I'm afraid I can't actually read the inscription at top.

  at top : "    نيهار ال خالد    " Nihar al Khaled (or Khalid)  (Nihar is an arabic name of indian origin, which means "dawn or  morning dew) ; a birthday token  ???
