Title: Akbar Ahmedabad ilahi 50, aban
Post by: abhinumis on December 04, 2018, 07:12:18 PM
Hi,
Posting a rare date/month combination in Akbar chautanki. Ilahi 50, Aban. As we know, Akbar died on 4th Aban ilahi 50. So this date, month combination is rare and occurs only in 3 mints for coppers i.e Ahmedabad, Burhanpur and Udaipur.

A good and rare coin :applause:
Among the 3 mints you mentionned, I think that Burhanpur is the most common; here a dam of this mint already posted in a 2016 thread.
20,56g / flowered field with a daisy as 2nd digit for "50"; may be to honour this special date ?

Burhanpur is indeed the commonest mint and this date/ month combination is known for dam, half dam as well as quarter dam.
