Title: Guyana: 1 Cent of 1978
Post by: Rabi_R on November 13, 2018, 03:48:15 PM
This coin is the first coin of Guyana after decimalization of 1976 ( KM #31). That however is not the reason why i collected it. I am always after beautiful coins, in this case, for the reverse  ;)

Victoria amazonica is a species of flowering plant, the largest of the Nymphaeaceae family of water lilies. It is the National flower of Guyana.

I wouldn't have collected this coin had it been just a biological representation instead of this awesome graphic representation.
