A limited amount of the Macaroni Penguin 50p coins has mistakenly been minted with an obverse of Gibraltar. 7 pieces have so far been reported as having been found. Earlier this morning someone on one of the collectors groups on Facebook noticed an ad of a Russian seller on eBay, there was a lot of scepticism until one of the group members checked her piece and found she had one of these mule errors too.
Update - Statement from Pobjoy Mint: Pobjoy Mint would like to confirm that a small number of mules have been struck for the 2018 Falkland Islands Penguin coins and some are out into circulation with customers.
