Title: Bombay Presidency. AE Pice, Transitional and local mints, Broach
Post by: capnbirdseye on May 16, 2018, 12:49:52 PM
This coin has the balemark on both sides instead of the crown & GR for the obverse, I thought it was a minting error, a nice companion for my other Presidency pice error with transposed balemark mistake.
There are several known errors for this type but I'm not sure if this one is listed in Paul Stevens Presidency book

Vic, It is not a minting error. This has been attributed by Paul Stevens to Bharuch issue of 1824 AD. (See the details in the JONS).
