Casino token? The style suggests 1890-1950 I think.

The denomination narrows the field somewhat - it's unlikely to refer to sterling, for example. Could be pre-1960 French francs, or post-war lire, for example.

There are Swedish tokens with the denomination 500 (öre) but this doesn't look right. They are mostly co-op tokens, which I don't think this is.

I concur on casino token. The casino monogram list (http://www.worldofcoins.eu/forum/index.php/topic,26844.0.html) lists four casinos that used a CI monogram.

Thank you very much for the help!
I think - denomination is 500 reis.
So:
CI   Club Internacional, Lisbon, Portugal
or
CI   Club Internacional, Monte Estoril, Portugal.

Probably a portuguese casino, but what?
They are known these two:
Club Internacional - Lisboa

Well, I am not sure.
The "Internacional" word is not in the inscription
I do not know the meaning of the monogram CI.
