There are similar copper coins on Zeno under Samarqand?

Yes, it's a timurid fals of Samarqand :  "zarb Samarqand" and probably the date in arabic letters on the other face ?

It's such good fun to see this coin identified. It's more than getting a label. I have seen the grandeur of even the ruins of Timur's palace. I know how important he and his successors are to Uzbekistan. I even have a favourite Timurid (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulugh_Beg).  Who cares when the coin was identified?

Can't remember how I came to the conclusion it might be from Samarqand.
now I just have to find where I put it..!
