Title: 2 Euro Commemorative series
Post by: mercenary666 on June 02, 2014, 06:35:17 PM

I am collecting 2 euro commemorative coins issues so far. I have been able to collect all the coins till 2013 (and some from 2014) except the very rare ones ofcourse, ie from Monaco (Though I have Monaco 2013), Vatican City and San Marino and the biggest exception Finland 2004

I have two questions for the kind people here:

1. Does anyone know till what year, the EU is planning to issue 2 Euro commemorates?
2. Is there anyone interested in swapping the pieces which I am missing? I can send my doubles list of the 2 euro commemorates

Let me know :)

PS: I am from India but I am currently in USA. So we will exchange from US only

Currently I don't have any spare €2 commems to swap. But when a new German piece is issued, I usually grab a roll at our local Bundesbank branch office. Next time would be 30 January ...

There are no plans to cease issuing those coins. Every euro country can issue two commemorative pieces per year (or three if a common issue is planned). Some countries make excessive use of that option ;) while others participate only in those common issues.
