Title: 2008 commemorative 2 Euros from Cyprus,Ireland,& Malta.
Post by: BC Numismatics on June 28, 2008, 05:50:15 AM
Has anyone had any news of any issues of commemorative 2 Euro coins from Cyprus,Ireland,& Malta?

If there has been any issued, then I would have to let my boss know,as I want him to get them when he is attending the Numismata fair in Berlin later on this year.I've got the regular 2008F Euro coins from Malta so far,but not the Cypriot Euro coins or this year's Irish coins though.

Aidan.

No, nothing official so far. Ireland is unlikely to issue any 2 commems - seems they only participate in the common issues (2007, 2009) but do not have any others. As for Cyprus and Malta, we'll see. The year is not over yet. ;)

Malta has officially announced that their first 2 euro commemorative will be issued in 2009 as a part of the common series "10 Years of European Monetary Union".
