Title: Some other pitis? 3
Post by: bart on January 02, 2012, 09:17:04 PM
Here are 3 similar uniface coins. They are in the range of 18-19 mm and have a hole within the range 5.5 to 6 mm.
I think I can read 1253 on the second and third coin.

Two more Palembang pitis, this time both coins are NvdC 194, dated 1203, struck during the reign of Susuhunan Mohamad Baha-ud-din, if the date on the coins can be trusted. NvdC says de text is "al sultan fi balad Palembang sanat 1203" - the sultan of the state of Palembang year 1203.

Thanks a lot, Peter, for determinating these coins.
Now I can label them in the right way.
