Too bad about the date. Otherwise, this is a nice, well struck coin, well preserved.

For more coins of Ajmer, see this (http://www.worldofcoins.eu/forum/index.php/topic,8087.0.html).

I believe Akbar's Dams do not have his name on it. One side says Zarb Falus (mint name) and the other side has the date in words and figures.

Looking at the date in persian letters, it seems that it ends by "eik" (11 o'clock), so the full date could be 981 AH.
With a reading of reverse as:"sanah 98x nuhsad wa hashta(d) wa eik" (the "d" of "hashtad" may cut the last "a" and is off on the coin)
That needs confirmation..

Dear Saro, you may be right, the date could be written as (bottom to top) nushad wa / hashta eek / (wa d)
The last two letters may have been engraved on the top and are off the flan. I have not been able to verify this with an illustrated coin of this date.
