Tripura, Yaso Manikya (second reign 1600-18), Silver Tanka, 10.62g, Saka 1522, citing Queens Gauri, Lakshmi and Jaya, RB 198; KM 109

Obverse: Within circuclar ornamental border; Krishna playing flute flanked by 2 Gopi's, Lion below, Saka date 1522

Reverse:
Legend within ornamental square border; Śrī Śrī Yuta Yaso/ Mānikya Deva Śrī/ Lakshmī Gaurī Jā/ya Mahā Devyah

This is the only instance in the whole Tripura series where three queens are cited on the same coin.

Uncleaned coin with dirt encrustations.

Breathtaking. I went for the pictorial part, trying to imagine the music and dancing scene. Th coin must have been designed to please the ladies of the court. No violence, no power symbols, just a pretty picture that evokes an evening that drives away the utter boredom of the women of the court.
