Vlaardingen, struck in the Utrecht mint in 1920 and 1922 and notched in 1932. Total notched and unnotched mintage: 600 000. On the back is a large hot water kettle and an exhortation (in slightly stilted Dutch) to cook on gas.

Agreed. This is one of the Dutch gas token dies that is influenced by "Art Deco", an art style that is still getting people's attention, a continuation and simplification of Gaudi's naturalism, triumphing in the stylish Chrysler building in NY and a precursor of Bauhaus. Modern Danish coins used this style beyond the "sell by" date, and yet it worked.
