Morocco 1 dirham - like father, like son?

Old king, new king. And a debasement of metal too, by the looks of things.

Both Cu-Ni 24 mm as far as I know.  They just make the new ones more worn.

And the 1960 dirham was at least silver (well, .600 anyway).  Those in the intervening years were nickel.

Those two look particularly alike.

Yes, the three-quarter facing bust is similar to his father's earlier issues from the 1960s.  Interesting also that the obverse legends (for all three monarchs) face outwards, i.e. the tops of the letters are nearest the centre of the coin, so they read clockwise (remembering to go right-to-left) from top-right.

Now I do believe that the two portraits below are the same one. I know that David Wynne designed them, because africancoins says so on his Morocco page. Mr Wynne is better known for the “nine hands” design on the Great Britain 50 Pence for E.E.C. entry in 1973.

Now, does anybody know the name(s) of the designer(s) of the OTHER monarch portraits that appear in this thread?

And does anybody know the name of the designer of this more recent portrait from the 1990s?

Again, it comes from africancoins' Morocco page.
