December competition 2010!
« on: December 19, 2010, 11:47:50 PM »
Similar to last years,

Here is another made up coin, 10 fragments - all with a theme.

Simply PM me your answers and I will post the amount you have correct, send as many PM's with answers as you like.  The winner will be member with the first complete set of answers, or alternatively the member with most coins identified correctly.

Last entry is 30th December 2010, after which I will post the prize to the winner.

Please do not post answers in this thread.
Comments welcome!

Will post a scan of the prize (s) shortly....

1st prize - choose one of the three coins,
2nd prize - choose one of the remaining two coins,
3rd prize - whatever's left.

These are,
1885 UK Florin
1937 Belgian Congo 5 Francs
1987 Silver proof Falklands 1

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

One of the usual suspects has an idea regarding fields 6 and 8 but is otherwise clueless ...

This usual suspect can identify a few fragments, but not all of them, and has no idea what the theme is!  Watching in anticipation, though ...

I thought that "no clue here" was some kind of a subtle helpful hint for you. But who knows, I may have been wrong once again. ::)
