Just tried ordering four €2 coins from the BCL website for €6.50 - postage was €81!  What a rip-off, I'll use ebay instead.

That is indefensible. Try lodging an EU consumer complaint here. They're being paid to help you out.

Crazy stuff indeed. Buying from eBay or buying bulk from a dealer you know can be cheaper, both in terms of unit price and shipping....
