Morocco falus double strike?
« on: January 25, 2010, 10:17:39 PM »
The weight is 6 grms. That alone makes it unusual, doesn't it?  And it is 26 mm across.
I played around with the reverse. It could be a double strike with something, mostly faded and gone, over another star of David.  Any ideas?

I think this is a contemporary forgery of a 4 Falus AH1280-1290 C#166.2 in Krause,
but I don't profess to be an expert in such things so I may be completely wrong.

You may be right AJG. The coin certainly shows a lot of use.
I thought I could see parts of another star of David on the reverse, but then again, maybe its just imitative Arabic jumble.
