This one is a contemporary forgery of an 1827 6 Kreuzer.

I have no doubt that this is a forgery. Very interesting, for such a low value!

Well I guess that depends on your income at the time to the value of the coin. And from what I have read it was not as high as like todays income.

I have some prices from North Germany in 1850. This is the weekly budget for a family of five. Count about 1.25 Silbergroschen for 6 kreuzer. A Silbergroschen is 12 pfennig and 30 Sgr is a Taler.

rent: 21 Sgr 8 Pf
3.5 pounds meat: 12 Sgr 3 Pf
potatoes: 11 Sgr
3 black breads: 10 Sgr 6 Pf
1.5 pounds butter: 9 Sgr
0.75 pounds coffee: 5 Sgr
3 pounds flour: 3 Sgr 6 Pf
heating: 5 Sgr
school: 4 Sgr
vegetables: 3 Sgr
fat: 3 Sgr
milk: 2 Sgr 6 Pf
soap: 2 Sgr
rice: 1 Sgr 6 Pf
beer: 1 Sgr 6 Pf

total: 95 Sgr 5 Pf or 3 Taler 5 Sgr 5 Pf.

The weekly income of a weaver was 2 Taler 3 Sgr. A seamstress would make 4 Sgr a day, so total family income would be 2 Taler 23 Sgr, a weekly deficit of 12 Sgr 5 pf. By going meatless, the family could balance the budget as long as no one would fall ill. While incomes were small, 6 kreuzer wouldn't have made much of a difference.
