The 5 tenge coin was made of copper-nickel-zinc and issued in 1993 only.

It had a copper-nickel-zinc centre within a nickel-brass outer ring.


It weighed 6.2 grams and had a diameter of 24.4 mm.

It was issued through to 2007.
