Classic national women on coins

These women are not goddesses or mythological women. They are not versions of 'Liberty', nor allegories such as 'Britannia' or 'Italia'. They are not famous or historical women, nor are they queens, princesses or duchesses. Perhaps we could call them archetypal women.

In this selection, I will include only designs from regular circulation coins - not commemorative, FAO or bullion coins. I am sure you will recognise at least some of them.
