Civic copper / lion & sun, Abushahr ?
« on: April 14, 2020, 11:51:05 AM »
8,60g / 27 x 19,5 mm
Worn, illegible, in how many hands has it passed before coming with me ?  I really like this coin with its "naive" style lion& sun  and its pretty dark patina.

Very few parts of the legend is visible but it could be well Val. n°16 (Abushahr)

You have posted five coins of Abushahr, mostly rectangular, all in this naive style. Coincidence or does the style attract you?

Civic copper are indeed attractive but among the 6 coins in the index, I posted only 3  :'(... I posted a fascinating one to separate it from a small group posted by veeraiahchaudary6, and the other coins were posted by Maudry, a great contributor  :) on this topic.

Thank you Saro,
Since I got by pure luck a nice lot of Civic coppers, I started to hunt for these coins and I was lucky to find some nice lots with interesting coins.
