So the only remaining commemoratives are Italy (already issued in BU sets),Portugal and Vatican.. Plus, of course, San Marino and Finland (the latter to be issued by the end of the year). Regards, a3v1

@ Aditya, Rumour has it that the subject should be: "Sesquicentennial of the Finnish Mint" (Not yet confirmed by any Finnish source). I am adding an image but, please, remember this is a suggestion only. Regards, a3v1

R@s, you were faster. http://ec.europa.eu/economy_finance/euro/cash/commemorative/2010_en.htmThe design looks good to me. A little busy in the pill, while the ring is almost empty - but since that is a political limitation, there is not much a designer can do about it. So, an interesting piece, and one that I look forward to ... Christian

@ Izotz & all, Of course, the difference between these two (Greece and Vatican City) is that the latter one will not be found circulating. It is sold exclusively individually packed and with a (considerable) premium. Regards, a3v1

I like my St. Elizabeth coin from Germany - thanks Chrisild. Unfortunately I find most of the commemoratives from Germany not so very attractive though.
I need to buy again the commemorative Zeppelin coins from 1929-30, those my all time favourites from Germany.

Guess it's the same thing with art or music - some people like modern/contemporary, others don't. Well, the Elizabeth piece is not a commemorative coin but a collector coin. May be irrelevant for people outside Europe, but it sure makes a difference around here. Now the Zeppelin coins are from the German Reich, not from today's Germany, and they certainly are not €2 coins. The Vatican 2010 piece is interesting too. I think it was a good idea to not use a portrait of Jean-Marie Vianney, so this more "general" design is OK. But the lamb is hard to recognize - maybe not in the image shown here, but on that relatively small coin ... Christian
