A beautiful example and well centred as well,  I particularly like the green patina which contrasts with the copper,  a treasure!

Thank you Vic, these copper coins struck at Qandahar under Safavids rulers are fascinating... (Qandahar under Safavids :1058 to 1135 AH)
These squarish coins with animals, most often struck on folded sheets of copper, make a homogeneous series;  designs and dates are linked, I have recorded these ones :
- lion & sun : 1058 AH
- peacock  : 1059 AH
- lion attacking deer : 1059
- bird to right : 1072 AH
- lion to left : 1085 - 1086 - 1089 AH
- lion to right : 1107 AH
- galopping horse to right : 1079 / to left : 1080 AH
- camel (dromeday) to left & to right : 1082 AH
- stag to left : 1108 AH
- Pisces "2 fishes" :undated
