Today two very nice Mongol coins came in. This is a small silver coin of Güyük Khan (1246-1248), a half dirham with two lines of text at one side in a double circle and Güyük's tamgha (called 'Khulbu Ongi') at the other side in a small circle surrounded by text. The tamgha has the form of a pair of glasses. I wonder about the meaning of the text. There also is a little cross in the text outside the tamgha.
Clear silver, 14 mm, 0.98 gr. Album 1976F.
