At first view, the sun behind the lion appeared  as a gamma letter...

Dear Saro, one way of looking at the gamma letter, it appears to be the eyebrows and nose with two eyes of a face outlined with dots. Or the gamma letter could be a bird symbol. Either way, it is a very nice coin and thank you for sharing it.

Yes another lovely coin,  the problem with collecting these now is that they are really popular and very expensive  :'(

Dear Vic, you are unfortunately right  :'(... these coppers, even often worn, reach unreasonable prices: " Not to mention the hallucinatory prices reached on eBay by fakes! In high quality, it must be said!!  ::)
