Deendayal and Rajchandra, seem confirmed.

Bhisham looks canned. Although there was press release, all other issues got released...

Although very unlikely but I'll give a try: 70 Years of Diplomatic Relations with Russia.

Putin will be happy if we issue coin with this theme. :D

No Chance  >:D
Of the 18+ themes listed, in my view, we are on track only for 3-4 issues from the ones listed. There will be different themes once we progress through the year.

The starting point of my proposal was President Putin's new year message to Indian President and PM (it can be read here, scroll down a bit):

[...]

Mr Putin thanked the Indian side for its hospitality when hosting the BRICS Summit in Goa and expressed hope that the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Russia and India will be marked in 2017 with new success in enhancing productive bilateral cooperation in many areas, in particular, in resolving urgent issues on the regional and global agenda.

(Now please don't ask me why do I visit Putin's office's website. ;D)

The 70th anniversary between India and Russia did get discussed in detail in October when the Russian President was in India. Although a decision was made to issue a joint postage stamp, no mention was made of a coin, but could be a good theme to consider. See the link to the planned events: http://bit.ly/2iZ5Rrg

Interesting..Since a joint issue of stamp has been proposed, I'm putting my money on coin too. ;D Russia issues hundreds (if not less) of commemorative coins (circulation as well as collector) every year and it won't mind issuing one with this theme. ;) Let's see.

Most of the events to be commemorated this year has already been covered. I have a suggestion to make, though it is unlikely to happen :
150 years of Prarthana Samaj : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prarthana_Samaj

Thanks,
Sumitha
