Jody Clark.

Jody Clark was born in Windermere, Cumbria, England on 1st March 1981.

He studied illustration at the University of Central Lancashire.

He now lives in Cardiff.

In 2014 the Royal Mint chose Jody's design as the new reverse for the gold and silver Britannia bullion coins. Britannia also returns to the circulation coinage in 2015, on the reverse of the 2 pound coin, in a design created by Anthony Dufort. Given Britannia's current high profile and her popularity with a large segment of the British public, the profile of the artists associated with her portrayal is automatically raised, and we are likely to see more of Jody's work in the future.

A depiction of the Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles.

This was part of the international "Princess to Monarch" series of coins.

It was the joint work of Jody Clark and fellow Royal Mint engraver Thomas Docherty.

Jody Clark has now designed the fifth definitive coinage portrait of the Queen.

Mr. Clark also designed the reverse of this Tanzanian coin.

It was first issued in 2014.

The other projects that Jody Clark did for the Royal Mint were a medal for Lesotho, a design proposal for Azerbaijan and a modelling job for Costa Rica.

In 2017 the Isle of Man adopted a new effigy by Jody Clark for its circulating coins.

This variant of the Fifth Effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II can be seen above.

This effigy is exclusive to the British Overseas Territories, Crown Dependencies and the Commonwealth countries.

Since 2016 Jody Clark has designed a series of silver and gold bullion coins featuring the Queen's Beasts.

Every year one of the 10 Queen's Beasts is being featured on the coins.

The Queen's Beasts are heraldic statues representing the genealogy of Queen Elizabeth II.

On the above coin the Griffin of Edward III can be seen.

In 2017, Jody Clark designed a coin series for São Tomé and Príncipe.

The pieces feature local bird species.

The 10 cêntimos depicts a Príncipe kingfisher, the 20 cêntimos a São Tomé green pigeon, the 50 cêntimos a grey parrot, the 1 dobra a green sunbird and the 2 dobras coin depicts a falcon.

all coins in the Queen's Beasts Series of bullion coins have been now issued.

From 2021 The Royal Mint will start a new series of UK bullion coins depicting myths and legends.

The first coin in the series, commemorating Robin Hood, was designed by Jody Clark.
