Once again I've taken ten coins - with a theme - Can you work out what they are ?

For hints see the previous years threads

2010 thread
2009 thread

Simply PM me your answers and I will post the amount you have correct, send as many PM's with answers as you like.  To win if you have 10 correct answers we will hold a draw, if no one has 10 then the 1st prize goes to whoever has most.

Last entry is 30th December 2014, after which I will post the prize (s) to the winner (s).

Please do not post answers in this thread.
Comments welcome!

I was wondering if we are having the competition this year...Andy never disappoints! :)

Shall give a try...not sure if I've got anything until now. ::)

Just in case there is a participant who looks beyond coins, I am offering this coin-in-a-medal as an extra prize. It looks like at least the surface is silver, but there are no guarantees. What I like in particular about this medal is that Britain looks suspiciously like a dollar sign ;)

#4
I have five sets of complete answers so far - Prosit, Miner, Spabreda, eurocoin and Afrasi.
Quickest again Mr. Prosit.

One partial sets of answers - Fosseway.

Still worth sending them in as all the correct answers will be placed in a draw (as last time) so everyone is still in with a chance of the prizes (besides the prestige of having 10 correct answers :)) - plus everyone who enters will receive a small gift from me.

Kind of anti-stereotypical for a Texan don't you think  ;D    8) 8)

Won't get ten correct answers, I know, but at least I recognized one right away! I will devote some time to this right after Christmas. Nice "puzzle" in more than one way!

Prosit

I found # 7 to be the biggest challenge but none were obvious to me.
2 and 3 were the easiest.
Dale

eurocoin

#4 was the most difficult for me, but in the end none of them were extremely difficult.

If I made it fiendishly difficult no one would enter...... :)

Afrasi

I see like Dale. I had very fast 9 correct answers, number 7 I still do not know.  :-[

FosseWay

1, 4, 7 and 10 are yet to be identified for me. The other 6 I did from memory, and I haven't started any trawling through KM or anything yet. No. 1 is on the tip of my brain but I can't quite place it. On the face of it, 4 should be the hardest, with no readily identifiable design element other than the hole.

4 days to go - and I promise everyone who enters will receive a prize (just PM me the address to send it to)

Grmpf. Got only five so far, and tomorrow it's over. (At what time by the way - midnight? And what time zone?  ;D )
