Iran,Falus, Teheran ? AH 1143, Lion & Stag

Unfortunately this large Falus is weakly struck so the Lion attacking the Stag is barely visible, just it's mouth & front legs
Not sure if it's in KM but I found it in Valentine & only then realised there was a Lion attacking the other animal

Clever id, cap'n. It looks like the separation character moved up one line, but otherwise, that's it. With the drawing (I love sketches) to guide the eye, I find that the lion is pretty complete - except for its tail. Thinking of Tam o'Shanter's horse, Meg...

Not sure now it's a civic copper of Teheran? that could be the Mitchiner n° 2196 for Kirmanshahan mint, with exactly the same design.
M.Mitchiner gives 1243 for the date  , as it isn't legible on the picture, that could be better 1143 / weight: 18,2g

I don't have Mitchener, I can see a faint trace of the mint under certain light , can you scan the photo of the Mitchener coin if you get a chance so I can see if it looks likely for Kirmanshahan?

Coin is just in "F" grade + a picture of a dark picture from the book.. I am afraid that couldn't be of great help

I thought my coin was bad so maybe not so bad after all,   unfortunately most of the mint on that coin is also missing so i still can't be sure of the mint of mine, nevertheless thanks for the trouble taken to scan the photo

On the Mitchiner's coin, only a small part of the mintname is legible.
At bottom, the word falus gives the centrage of the die and I think that there is no room on right upper side for "Kar" of "Karmanshahan" and so "Ma" could be the real beginning of the mintname :" Mazandaran" would well fit...

You are lucky : one coin with 3 mintnames
