These are the images of the new kuwait circulation coin released from 2012 . These coins get attracted to magnet (not in the case with previous releases) so possibly made these are made from Stainless steel coated nickel.

Interesting. It would make sense to use cheaper metals, as there is no connection between metal and denomination. The values you show are the equivalent of 13 eurocents (5 fils) to €2.64 (100 fils) in six denominations. It seems a short series. Is the 1 fil discontinued? Are there no plans for a 2 dinar coin?

The Kuwaiti Dinar may be about 2.64 Euro - but that would mean that 100 fils is about one tenth of that...

Thanks Mr Paul Baker

You are right, Paul. That leaves no place for a 1 fil, but makes the series even more in need of extending up.

1 fils coin was discontinued a long a way back (1988). Kuwait denominations are from 5-100 fils. Two dinar coins are commemorative coins
It is widely said that the new coins are released to make the quality of the circulation coins better not cheaper. Kuwait is also planning to release the new bank notes with better security.
