Sets with all sub-unit denominations in words AND numerals
« on: December 09, 2012, 09:02:27 PM »
This topic refers to sets where all the sub-unit denominations are given in words and numerals, e.g. "5 FIVE PENCE".

The UK decimal set from 1982 to 2007 was a good example of this.

Eritrea, since 1997. Note the use of "100 cents", in preference to "1 nafka".

Mauritius is an interesting case. The 1, 2, 5 and 10 cents are given in both numerals and words, but the remaining lower denominations are expressed not as cents, but as fractions of a rupee (rupee being the main currency unit, not the sub-unit), and are given in words only.
