Shekhar -  beautiful coins and thanks for sharing them.  The photographs are very good too and you can clearly see the crescent moon on the ribbon on your coin on the other thread.  The crescent was the privy mark of the Calcutta mint on the 1840 Rupee continuous legend (Type I).  Bombay mint had no privy marks and Madras mint has a S on the truncation of the bust on the obv.

I hope you don't mind by I've used it in the image below to high light the crescent of the Calcutta mint. Certain dies used by the Madras mint had a V on the right bow of the ribbon, this is in relief and so can only be seen on coins with no or very little wear. It is thought that the V is a die mark made for statistical purposes.

Here is my Madras mint (S on truncation obv. and V on the ribbon rev) 1840 Rupee Continuous Legend (Type I).

All these coins are very nice and the first one does not look to be a fake. @Harry stunning coin and if you ever want to sell let me know. I have one very nicely toned of the same type and need another blast white high grade example.

I would like to hear their arguments, but this does not look like a fake at all.

Totally.  It is unfair and not nice to label someone's coin a fake without the necessary information to back the claim.....
