NBU puts into circulation commemorative coins "Antique shipping"

Today, on August 30, the National Bank of Ukraine issues the commemorative coins "Antique shipping" with nominal value of ten UAH of silver and with nominal value of five UAH of nickel silver, the official site of the NBU reported.
 
The coins continue the series "Sea History of Ukraine" reflecting the history of shipping and shipbuilding industries in our state. The shipbuilding, which was one of the major industries of ancient cities in the North Black Sea region, promoted the technical progress of that society, the development of mathematical knowledge, engineering and natural sciences. Southern Crimea was the focal point of maritime trade and the region of intensive navigation during almost two thousand years.
