Danish West Indies 2 francs-40 cents,1907.jpg

Danish West Indies: 2 francs/40 cents,1907.  The three liberties.

Not a scene you were likely to see in real life in 1907.

The three of them have burnt their bras. What a liberty!

Albania, 1926.  A ½ lek coin.

It depicts a double-headed eagle, and Hercules wrestling the Nemean lion.

Either it is very cold or Hercules has been badly bitten.

Albania 1927 2 franga ar.jpg

Albania, 2 franga ar, equivalent to 10 lek.

It shows a rather Italian-looking eagle and a naked peasant sowing seed.

His nakedness suggests he is in touch with nature.

Fröbel basically developed the concept of the Kindergarten.

Interestingly, it was forbidden in Prussia until 1860 due to the destructive and atheist tendencies that those devilish kindergartens spread among the Prussians.

Here are two coins from Spain, issued in 2003 to launch the Dalí 2004 year. The first one (image: honscha.de) shows Leda Atomica, with Dalí's wife Gala being Leda ...

Another Dalí "coin" shows the Dream Caused ... (image: honscha.de). Diameter: more than 7 centimeters!

Here is one from the Vatican. Now you can argue whether what is around her is some kind of garment, or water as the river and the bridge suggest. :)
