I've been a bit busy...........found this the other day. I hope you'll be able to tell me the denomination.  Many thanks  ;D
The reverse is unreadable for me.

Not sure what it's made of???  Had a lead look to it, perhaps billon?  Looks more coppery now ??

That looks like Louis XVI's profile to me. The diameter and obverse design match his half-sol of 1779-90 (KM586) but I haven't got one handy to weigh and KM doesn't give the weight, so can't compare that. There are 16 possible mints; the mintmark is below the shield on the reverse (i.e. at the bottom). Dunno if you can make anything out at all in that region on this coin (remember that French coins have 180º alignment).

I found the figures for weight and diameter, 25 mm  Legal weight : 6,118 g.
Undersize and underweight.  I've been here before....................
