Hejaz countermark

Yet another cmk'd coin from my collection,  this one is stamped  AL HEJAZ on a 40 Paras Turkish coin. c.1916- 1924
Hegaz joined with Nejd to become modern Saudi Arabia

Mmmh ... Today I am a little bit nitpicking, sorry!  ;)

Hejaz did not really "join" this union, but was run over and forced by the Saudis, which expelled King Hussein. Hussein's son Abdullah became later the first King of Jordan.
